Banff RFC ladies see huge improvement against Shetland.
Though the day started off with drizzle, kick off saw the clouds clear and a covering of sunshine. Banff had a period of defence until Shetland finally weaved their way to the line, getting the first try 11 minutes in. Their next shift of defence was flawless, as they constantly put Shetland under pressure in attack, preventing a large number of possible tries. Shetland managed to use their experience and, a whole 23 minutes later, scored the next try. Again they came at Banff and scored the last points of the half. No conversions made a half time score of 0 - 15 to Shetland.
The second half provided a number of crunching tackles and monstrous runs. Banff held fast and kept Shetland from scoring on numerous occasions, but again Shetland managed to get themselves over the whitewash. Shetland managed to use their experience twice more, and came away with two tries, one of which being converted. Banff ladies came off the field ecstatic, as the rugby played was of a very high quality.
Next up for the ladies is Orkney, and Highland 2nd's for the men, both at home on the 25th March
